problem with the initial location of process flowchart or patient flow chart

4CCA5EF3-04E4-408A-880B-9D6575CB99AB.GIF

When I open a process flow chart or a patient flow chart, I have to change the right or left edge so I can get to the Minimize, Restore or close icons.

How can I avoid this extra step?

@Tee Hiett,

I would suggest trying View -> Open Default Workspace and then re-opening the window with which you're working. If it's still being buggy, please post the model so we can take a look at it. Thanks!

@tanner.p Thanks for the prompt response.

Changing the default Workspace had no effect. Attached is the model but this occurrence is not Specific to this model On my computer. It also occurs on Models of a colleague at our medical clinic.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. This is a bug in the code that positions windows so that they are entirely visible on the screen. The issue is happening because the window you are trying to open is larger than the screen that you are trying to open it on.

Here's an illustration of what is happening:

The blue rectangles represent the monitor screen space. The red rectangle is the window that is being opened. Right now, the middle image represents what is happening. The window is being bumped up because its bottom edge is beyond the edge of the screen.

I've updated the code for the next bugfix release so that the code that pushes the window down from the top will account for the window being moved up (instead of just based on the window's original position), which will cause the window to end up positioned as shown in the right image.

For now, you can work around the issue by resizing the window so that it is smaller than the size of the screen. Then when you close and reopen the window, it will be positioned appropriately on your screen:
