How would one model companions in a waiting line?

I have scoured the Answers forum for companion related questions and found some very helpful answers here Companion modeling for wait areas. However I can't find anything on getting companions to go through a waiting line with a patient. I have modified one of the models from the above answers as an example. One of the complications is to override the distancing setting for companions.

A simple example would be where a parent is bringing a child into a clinic and the both go in the lineup for registration.

Here is the modified model:escortingcompanions-v2020-03-13-20_1.fsm

Any help would be appreciated.

@James Rodgers, is this just for visual effects? Do you want the companions right next to the person? One way to do this would be to create a separate waiting line for companions and put it right next to the first one.
