Hello 
My problem is 
that I can't open a file that was created in a future version in a past version of the software

Software Version:

FlexSim 20.1.1

flexsim 20.1.1 ...

That is correct. Newer versions of the software can usually open older versions of a model but older versions of the software can not open later versions of the model. The best way is to use the version of software that the model was created in. But newer versions of the software will usually open older models (with exceptions for models that are several versions old may need alterations).
