How to have multiple patients at the same registration desk?

Hi,

In HC is was possible to set the max occupancy of a process location, like the registration desk. We can no longer find this option in FS20.2.Is this option still there or is there another easy way to model this?

Attached is a small example model where we would like 2 persons to be able to register at the same time at the registration desk. (without overlapping in positions). In HC the locations of the next patients are automatically set to a nice position, as shown in the picture below.

In the example model there is a resource for the registration desk, that is now avoiding multiple persons to be served at the same time at the registration desk. If we remove that resource, we no longer have a location to walk to. This can be solved by using some labels or normal non person resources. That how ever takes some extra steps and it does not directly set the persons next to each other at the registration desk. What would be a nice way to solve this?

Thanks,

Patrick

That feature was not carried over to the new FlexSim Healthcare. It was rarely used, often lead to errors users didn't understand, and messed up the location's statistics.

It's really not too hard to model this sort of situation with multiple location objects. For example, if you place two computer locations on the registration desk then you can have the patients acquire a computer instead of the desk itself.

@Matthew Gillespie,

Perfect solution. We completely forgot the option use a different location like the computer.
