FlowItem colours not ported over with upgraded version

Hi @Felix Möhlmann or anyone following the question (appreciate it),

As my company just upgraded the license, when I port over my model, it seems to run fine except for the flowitem's (trolley) colours. I've checked the "Change Visual" activity in the ProcessFlow and I am not sure what could be wrong. Would appreciate any advice on this.

Also, are there any other manual adjustments that I would have to make when porting over from version 18.2.3 to version 22.2.3?

Thank you very much!

I'm afraid I can't help with this problem. Possibly the way color is handled for imported shapes changed between versions.

Please attach your model or a link to another question so other people can help more effectively.

Not sure why this has happened but for now you can override each mesh via the "More Visuals" menu and then clicking the "customize meshes' icon (tools). Then select each mesh you want to use the object colour.

"Fixed object color being applied incorrectly to ambient material color on certain meshes."

20.0.0 Release Notes and History

The object's color was spilling onto the ambient material color in the original shape because of a bug that was not properly setting the ambient color when it was missing.

It was a bug that the shape looked brown in the older version of FlexSim. To make the shape to look brown, then yes, customize the meshes or adjust the shape file itself. See "Getting the Object's Color or Texture to Bleed Through" in Creating and Importing Custom 3D Objects (flexsim.com).

@Glenson G

There are "backwards compatibility note" sections for each release in the release notes that describe any software changes that may require manual adjustments to the model when ported to a newer version.
