My Model Process Flow Inter Arrival Source does not work in Flexsim 2017

Hi

See attached model

I have 3 clusters of conveyance and combiners which stack boxes on pallets

For some reason the Inter-Arrival Source in process flow does not seem to work

Thanks

@Raashid Mohammed Have you tried deleting the inter-arrival source and creating it again? It works when I open the model. The only error I see is that the next to last wait for event in cluster 3 isn't working.

Yes I did

It seems it only does it for me for that model

I have to change from inter arrival source to triggered source in order to work

Was wondering what might cause it.

Thanks

Your first issue is the exceptions that are displayed in your system console. Your Wait For Event in Cluster 3 is listening to invalid events. Looks like it's trying to listen to the On Process Finish events on Group: combiner3. But inside of combiner3 you have 3 Decision Points. Decision Points don't have an On Process Finish event.

It does look like there is a bug that is being made apparent by the exceptions that are being thrown. You've managed to put the model in a very specific state that then causes the model to get into a "messed up" state. Here's how you fix it.

Open FlexSim.

Open your model. DO NOT RUN IT.

Remove the Decision Points from the combiner3 group.

Now you can reset and run the model. It will run without issues.

I've already applied a fix that will be released in the next 2017 bug fix.
