Hello,
I want to join 2 itmes as a one - a box with a pallet in flowitem bin. I know it may be easy to do but I couldn't find an answear in users manual.
I saw someone did something like this. The pallet is attached to the box but i can change only the size of the box. I would like to chagne the size of pallet. Does anyone knows how it was done ?
What you want to do is the combined item not combining the item with the palette.
How to do it is followed;
Use the right button of the mouse on the box item and then select Animation menu.
You can find the result of it as followed;
And you can drag and drop the palette below the box item like above.
But if you want to simulate to make the model to combine the box item with the palette item, you should use the combiner object to combine two items of the palette and the box.
What do you want?
Hello David,
I wanted to do the first solution. Thank you for you help and detailed destription, really appreaciete your answer. Should I shut down the topic ?
@Seung Yong Seo Visually this method works when we have a pallet, or a tote selected. How can we make this work for a custom object? If I bring in a custom object, or for example a box and a sphere, the parts from the combiner are so much offset visually. Is there a way we can bring them together to a defined position?
We have an option to join, where I will be able to see just the bigger model after combining. I'm actually looking at the visual aspect where I can see them combined together.
You need to activate a packaging method on the item entering first the combiner to prevent the mentioned offset. If you don’t find this option in the properties of items in the Flow item bin, you begin your customized item with a container item like a pallet or tote. Currently you start to copy a box or you add a new item, which is by default a box. But you can copy any item in the bin and customize it.
