Remove patients from the model for 24 hours

Hello! Is it possible to send patients out of the model and return them after 24 hours? I saw a similar implementation in logistics, is it possible to adapt to healthcare

I leave a link to a similar question in logistics. Thanks in advance!

I don't see the link you mentioned. I can't imagine a way to remove a patient from the model and have the same person return 24 hours later if by "remove from model" you mean delete the patient object. However, you could come up with a modeling scheme to create a new patient in the model 24 hours later and give the new patient all the important attributes (like patient labels, visual looks, etc.) of the original patient that left the model. Of course, it would be up to you to save off the important attributes of patients before they leave the model, create a new patient at the right time in the future, and reapply the saved attributes to the new patient.

It is doable, but would take some tricky coding on your part. Another idea would be to simply have the patients walk out of the facility you are modeling and go to a large queue off to the side where they wait for 24 hours with a forced delay time or something, and then continue later with some activities that have the patients walk back to the facility and begin some more activities.

In the 2021 version that was just released last week, there is a checkbox option on the Remove Patient activity to only remove the patient statistically and not physically from the model, and then later down in the flow you can use another Remove Patient activity to remove the patient statistically and physically. This might be helpful, but as I say it, I'm thinking it may not be helpful because I can't think of a way to start up the patient's statistics again when they return, so... nevermind.
