Process flow connections to snap to grid

Hello,

When one is using the "snap to grid" option for process flow modeling, could connectors also follow the same behavior? This would be helpful to user straight connectors, especially with decision nodes or multiple out connections from an activity.

Thank you.

Hello Gui, multiple connections can be a problem if you don't resize your activities.pf-connectors.jpg

Hi, @Joerg Vogel ,

Yes you are correct. I was referring to being able to snap the starting and ending points following the grid. At this moment, the activity boxes have 4 attractors for the connections. It would be nice if, when the user selects "snap to grid", the connectors would assume a starting/ending coordinate also based on the grid. I imagine this only for the manual connection.

It would help with flow formatting and standardization only.

I hope I could convey better what I meant.

You don't have to use the 4 circles, you can drag off any part of the outline to start making a connector. You can also drag the end of the connector after the connector is made.

Hi, @Matthew Gillespie ,

thank you. I am aware of it.

What I am suggesting is to have a better HMI, attracting points to the grid lines without having to cautiously point and click. It is not a hard feature. Also, please do not confuse "show grid" with "snap to grid". They are different things.

Personally, I do not use "show grid" as it clutters the interface; still, I like straight arrows and easy to follow flows. But my suggestion is not about me, it is about having a better HMI au-pair with other simulators in the market, and allowing users to keep their preferences.

Please keep in mind this is a suggestion for feature; at least it is how I placed it in the forum.
