Record Video with FlyPath

Hi there,

I am working on the visualization of a project and want to record video with FlyPath but want the patients to walk at a normal speed. As shown in the video below, they walk at a max speed right now. Is that possible to record video while patients walk at a normal speed?

Hi @Maryam H2 In order to better answer your question, would you be able to please post your model or a sample model that does what you are trying to do?

Thanks for the reply @Kwaku AN! I have attached a video of the model to my post and this is not related to my model. As far as I know, it's a universal thing that people walk with the max speed in the model when you record video with FlyPath. Do you have any idea?

Maryam,

the Video Recorder interface has a field for you to specify the model run speed during recording:

Is that what you were looking for?

Thanks, @Ralf Gruber for the reply! That's the speed of the Flypath movement and tried many times with that. I am talking about the walking speed of patients.

@Maryam H2 That Speed field is the model run speed. Setting it to 1 should make the model run in real time.

Hi @Maryam H2 , the Speed of the video recorder has to do with the model speed. Changing that will affect the speed of your video so you can use that to increase or reduce the video speed. Also, since you are using a Flypath, click on this icon on your Flypoint toolbar.flypoint-toolbar.png

If toggled, the Flypoint will use the model's run speed instead of real time. By default this option is off and the time displayed in the timeline is in real seconds.

@Kwaku AN Thanks! So, do you mean when I create the fly points that clock icon should be toggled and when recording video that one is still selected? or vice versa?

I remember the last time I tried both ways and the speed was still fast. Is there any other setting that I need to take care of when creating videos?

@Maryam H2 It would help to know what time units your model is in. If it is in minutes, then the Speed field might need to be something less than 1, like .016 instead. From the video it looks like the model time progresses at 1 minute of model time for every real world second. Try .016 (1/60 of a minute) in the Speed field of the Video Recorder and see if that does what you want.

Hi @Kwaku AN @Maryam H2

You can check (but not edit) the standard units for your current model by accessing the Model Settings in the Edit menu in the toolbar. screenshot-2021-10-29-114652.pngscreenshot-2021-10-29-114720.png
