Is it possible to auto build model based on data?

Hello,

I would like to ask. Is it possible to build model based on data? What I mean is, if I would have data exported from excel then if I can simply use script to take this data set to auto build the model?

In the 3D view most of the modelling tasks are scriptable so if you have enough data to describe everything you want to include. What might not be so easy to build with script is the process flow that might be needed to adjust object behaviours - although this has also been possible in the past, I've not tested it recently. You can also create a library of pre-customised objects and behaviours such that this last concern is mute and you can have the whole model built from code that interprets your data.

I understand. But what I would like also to ask is when I have enough data I need then to write a code that modifies this data in FlexSim-like form. What I meant is that I need to write the code from scratch which would be able to take the data as an input and modify them as for example I will have data for one rack and what I need to do is to create instance of that rack in FlexSim with specifies parameters from the data set. Do I understand it correctly?

Yes - what you're describing is possible - I think there are examples of automatically configuring racks on this Answers site. If that's what you need specifically and can't find that - let us know.
