FlexSim: Virtual Reality Options

Hello,

I plan to purchase a VR kit to use with FlexSim (mainly for commercial purpose).

From manual and forum the best solution is:

I would like a wireless connection. I have seen Airlink and Oculus possibilites (https://answers.flexsim.com/questions/111644/how-to-connect-flexsim-vr-demo-model-to-oculous-qu.html), although I have never tried it. Are you aware of any user problem?

In short, what glasses would you recommend me to buy for this purpose?

One last question: could it be the case that some of the new glasses are not compatible with older versions of Flexsim (for example, model created in 2020 not compatible with the last version of Oculus Quest 2). I apologise for my lack of knowledge.

Thanks for your help.

I have purchased recently an oculus quest 2. If I have connected it to an wireless ax network exclusively, I didn’t feel a difference to a wired connection. Maybe is my hardware not the best, because of a Radeon 580, but it feels quite nice. The connection is more stable than I had expected it. And the VR mode of FlexSim didn’t need a Steam transport layer. I turned it on, it works. Even following an item has worked like a charm. Perhaps I have not much experience in VR, but I think FlexSim is made for VR.
