FloWorks Tutorial 3.2: Third party vessels not going to sink

I've just worked through FloWorks Tutorial 3.2, but I'm having an issue. The third-party vessels have Type = 2, and in theory should be sent to Port 2 of the DemandBerth. However, for some reason, my third-party vessels just get stuck at the DemandBerth instead of being pushed down Output Port 2 into the Sink.

I've attached a copy of my model. I assume I've made a mistake somewhere, but I re-read the Step 4 tutorial material a few times and could not figure out what I am doing wrong.

Hi Jeremy,

I took a look at your model and noticed that the settings of the loading arm controller of the berth were not working properly. This caused that the vessels were not handled resulting in the pile up of vessels. The settings of sending them to the sink are correct.

I've changed the setting of the controller from Object connected to a center port to Center Port By Case. See above. I also made a center connection between the berth and the loading arm. See attached model.

Ah okay, I think I see what was wrong: the Demand Berth's Loading Arms (connected to the MCLC) couldn't unload the Type 2 vessel because only one of its compartments was used.

I looked back through the Tutorial material itself, and couldn't find anything suggesting this solution. Is the tutorial incomplete, or did I just overlook it?

Hi @Jeremy R

You can find the description in the manual at step 4 after adding the source for third party vessels. See the images above.

Ah, I had interpretted that as being for the Production Berth, not the Demand Berth. Thanks for clarifying.
