help another and lowers their process time

I went the operator2 in the beginning of the process to stop and go help operator6 once op2 makes so many parts or backs the line up with parts to a certain point. I want op6 to take some of the process time away from op2 when he goes to help the op as well ( making product flow faster) Apprentice layout 2022.fsm

Here's an old model that has been updated to v20. It uses a table to say how long the task would take with different numbers of operators.

In this case the optimal number is 2 operators - since it gives 36 operator seconds labor - the least of all options.

When the model runs operators are preempted away from this process (between the conveyors) and the time to complete the work is adjusted based on this table. So you could have 1 operator for 20 seconds (50% complete) and then 4 operators for 5 seconds (totalling 40 operator seconds of labor).

You may find this approach will work for you.

Alternatively - split the operation up into multiple smaller operations that each operator can handle individually.
