How to achieve direct movement between two points using kinematics?

I want the object to go from point A to point B.I know the distance between the two points, how fast the object is moving, and I don't know the coordinates of point B directly. In the kinematics, I need to decompose the distance traveled in the x and y directions,so that's a little tricky.And I was wondering if there's an easier way to do that, where you don't have to break down the distance and the velocity into the x and y directions.

If you only know the distance D between the points, then the location of point B is not defined and could be anywhere on the surface of a sphere with radius D around point A.

A translation kinematics is always defined by using the component distance along each axis (x,y,z). You need either the coordinates of B directly or the angle relative to a known vector to calculate the distances along each axis. The speed is a single value for the total motion.

For example, if the two locations are marked by objects, you can read their locations and directly calculate the values from those.
