Why "paint slot labels" doesn´t work properly?

Hello friends, I would like to ask a question. I am struggling with this issue a little bit. Usually I use this feature without problems.

1. I created label "copied_mat_num" and I assigned values from the table range to this label

2. Values were imported

3. I see the specific value in the range

4. When I am trying to paint the slot with this value, I see only black color and it doesn´t work properly.

What could be the reason?

Thanks in advance

Hello @Milan U3,

I was not able to replicate your issue. Can you try upgrading your software to see if that fixes the issue? If that does not work, can you attach your model?

Here is my attempt at recreating the issue Rack label slot assignment.fsm

@Jeanette F thanks for the reply. I am going to update my Flexsim version, maybe it will help.

Hi @Milan U3 ,

I just read this post and would like to do the same what you did.

How did you imported your Labels from a table to the rack, so that the slots get painted for each label automatically?

Thank you and kind regards.

The only automatic thing in this post is filling the color palette based on a global table which is an option under "Edit Values" as you see in the first screenshot. The slots would still need to be painted automatically.

You can use code to paint slot labels, but that is a different topic, so I would ask you to create a separate post if that is you goal. Some additional information about how you want to determine which slot gets which label value would then also be good to add.

@Milan U3 , this problem had been already discussed. It is a problem of zero number characters in a string as a label value for painted slots.

@Milan U3 , please check, if your label string values zero characters can be replaced by other characters.

1213.x10.x490 or 1213-x10-x490 instead of 1213.010.0490

There was a problem with this string: "xxx.010.0xxx", so I replaced it with "xxx.010..0xxx" - adding extra dot and it works now. Thanks once again
