Event when slug is built?

Is there a way to have a Wait for Event activity in process flow wait for a slug to be built on a conveyor? I was thinking of using Conveyor.SlugBuilder.state == 2 // Ready - the slug has achieved its ready criteria, but I can't see how to enter that criteria into the Wait for Event activity.

The Merge Controller object has events pertaining to slug building. You'd connect it to the relevant conveyor(s), set it to do nothing itself and use the events to trigger the slug release.
