Production Scheduling

Hi everyone,

I want to build a model where I have source, queue , processor and sink. I want to have a table where I define the BOM and another table for processor, where I define the product I want and the quantity(in sequential order like products in first row made first then from second and so on) . Means the product which I will mention in processor table it will look its dependent material in BOM table and after processing, it will name the product which I mentioned in processors table. If material is not available the it waits for the materials and process as soon as one is available. Source will produce the dependent materials. Could someone please explain how to build this model. I am very new to flexsim.

You may find the article on the opportunistic parts combiner helpful, where the processing doesn't happen until multiple part combinations are available (defined in a table). It uses process flow to do the heavy lifting but is probably worth learning as soon as you can.
