Items become stuck downstream of the slug conveyor with Merge Controller

Hi,

Items become stuck downstream of the slug conveyor with Merge Controller. On my model a green box stops after 2014 seconds. Shortly before the green box stops, an orange box exits from the slug conveyor. I am concerned that the gap between the orange box and the next orange box is very small.

Am I using the Merge Controller incorrectly?

You're using side transfers while the merge controller needs inline transfers to work properly. In the past we've reported the lack of awareness surrounding this issue to the developers in the hope that tutorials and other documentation can be improved.

Change the transfer type property to 90+ degrees or angle your conveyors to 60- degrees and it should work correctly.

Agreed. As I mentioned, I believe it's already on the list of changes to make.
