Merge with release point not on Slug Builder Conveyor

I have a merge where one of the lanes is feeding in with a decline right at the merge and accumulation behind the decline. The other lanes are normal with accumulation feeding directly into the merge. Attached is an example model I created of the situation: MergeWithDeclineExample.fsm

For the line with the decline the real world controls will have a photoeye at the end of the decline to run the line up to and stop awaiting release into the merge to minimize the gaps between lane releases. I placed a photoeye on the decline in the model but I am not sure how to create the logic in FlexSim to run up the box while also using the slug builder logic and merge controller.

Here's a custom solution that replaces the slug build feature and merge controller with an Object Process Flow that is attached to PEs on the slug conveyors.

I'm not sure if it's 100% what you need, but it might nonetheless be a decent starting point for further customization.
