Not for a single event. Redirecting the AGV causes the Pre-Arrival Event to fire again. The same would happen if you were to preempt the AGV and give it a new travel task at that moment. I believe this is necessary and working as intended.
I have worked around this previously by placing a zone that only allows one token to enter (partitioned by TE).
