Comparing experimenter results

Page 198 of "Applied Simulation Modeling Using FlexSim" (2011) explains statistical analysis methods for comparing two alternatives. One of these methods is the "paired t-test".

Does FlexSim's Experimenter have a function for conducting a paired t-test? Or, should the user export the performance data to Excel then use another software to conduct paired t-test?

Hi @Manocher Djassemi

Beyond showing side-by-side graphs of scenario results, FlexSim does not include analysis software to facilitate deeper results comparisons between experiment replications and/or scenarios. A deeper analysis and comparison is outside the scope of FlexSim.

FlexSim allows you to export the charts/graphs of the data, or the raw numerical results data, which could then be imported and analyzed according to each individual customer's requirements, using an analysis platform outside of FlexSim and specific to the customer's business or industry.

So just as you suggest, export the raw data and use a software created for your specific purpose in your data analysis.
