Is it possible or planned to import Microstation DGN files?

In my Company our production facilities and factories are planned with the CAD Software Bentley Microstation. These detailed DGN files form the basis of our simulation projects. By importing the DGN files, it is possible to measure the routes and the distances between the different locations. It would be possible to get the routes and positions as they are in the planned or reality design.

The next stept to improve this work sequence would be to divert selected routes to FlexSim conveyors. This would save a lot of time on the projects.

Microstation can export DWG files.

AutoCAD can import DGN files and then export to DWG.

FlexSim can import DWG files. You can use Microstation or AutoCAD to get a DGN file into the format that FlexSim can import.

Thanks for your answer.

You're right, it's possible to export DWG-Files using Microstation and Import them in FelxSim. But sometimes it's really a problem. I don't know when and why, but in some cases the files can not be imported as I expect. Sometimes there are 4 virtual Windows like the views in Microstation but without any content. Sometimes it's a wrong scale or the Position is "far far away" from the centerpoint.

So... I have to improve my Microstation skills.
