In the clinic I am trying to replicate, the psychologist needs to get an hour of desk time in between patient appointments or whenever she can. How can I schedule desk time? I was thinking about using Global processes - but the desk time wouldn't have a set interval, it would be scheduled at specific points in time. I was thinking something similar to a break, where they can be pulled away - but in a manner that I can record if they were able to complete the 1 hour desk time.
I still think the Global Process is going to be your best bet. In the advanced time controls you can set when the Start Time is (this can be a randomly distributed time as well.) Whatever you put as the Processing Time, should force the staff to stay for the entire duration. However, if you want to simulate the chance that the staff might not take a full hour, you can set this Processing Time as a random distribution too. Then you could use like a Staytime chart or something along those lines to record the times the staff is utilized.
