How to coordinate the inputs or outputs of separator/combiner?

As shown in the model i've attached, i need the Mergesort stop receiving flowitems when the separator is working ,but something wrong seems happen to the trigger setting ,so i post this question and look for an ideal solution.

Software Version:

FlexSim 7.7.4

I found a way to implement the model by setting the trigger founction of the Sink below the separator, now the Mergesort will stop receiving flowitems when the separator is working. But here appears another problem which is shown in the following GIF002.gif

Could you maybe explain more exactly what is the problem and what is going wrong where?

Ok hemmann. The flowitems flow through the mergesort have three itemtypes(1、2、3), and the type1 will be sorted at the first outputport of the mergsort while the other two types keep going through the outputport2. As you can see, the type1 will get processed at the separator after sorted, here i want the mergesort still receive type2 and type3 but not type1. When the separator finish the process, the mergesort becomes availiable to all the three types again. I hope now you get what i mean and look forward to your reply, thank you.

It appears that the FlexSim license that you are using has expired. You should contact your local distributor for help with you model. Here is their contact information:

My license seems have no time limitation after contacting your distributor CSN, and my license information shows the Expiration Date is permanent.

Yes, your license is permanent. Meaning that you can use your license forever. However, the maintenance agreement for support that originally comes with the software does have an expiration date. Meaning that after that expiration date, customer support from FlexSim is no longer free. You can post here to see if other users can help you but your software is almost 3 years old. Not sure how many users use that version any more. That is why I suggested that you contact your local distributor for technical support for your model. They can help you and/or get you upgraded to the current version of FlexSim.
