Sorry about the confusion from the original question.

A little background: currently I am only using FlexSim to build models for processes simulation. We recently have the thoughts to embed/connect FlexSim models to query database, trigger other application, etc... We want to know what kind of API calls is FlexSim capable of before moving forward with this idea. As of now, I know FlexSim can query database, call 3rd party dll file, and send HTTP request. anything else?

Hi. @Jingyong P

FlexSim has various connectivity features to outside. You can find the connectivity menus in Tools>Connectivity options like captured.

Some examples are database connector and PLC (censors and In/Out tags etc). Or you can use excel sheets using import/export wizard features.

If you want to access directly to outside application you developed, you should develop your dll module using flexsim sdk kit.

You can find the stuffs about FlexSim SDK

https://answers.flexsim.com/questions/50602/flexsim-module-sdk-181.html.

Or you can find it searching keyword of 'FlexSim SDK' in this forum.

And you can find also the tutorials about PLC Emulator in help manual.
