Release Resource Destroys Assign To Label Vice NULL Value

Why is the label created via the 'Acquire Resource - Assign To Label' subsequently destroyed after being used in the 'Release Resource - Resource Assigned To' instead of just having a NULL value afterward?? This seems counter to other labels that can have NULL values. Thanks

Hi @Stan Davis, I think this is mostly to avoid potential cluttering of the labels since there's generally no more need for the label once the resource has been released. For example, if a token acquired 5 resources at different times and they each were assigned to a different label name, by the end the token would have 5 empty labels. Is there a particular reason you're hoping to keep the empty label?

Understood. I just thought it was a little inconsistent. Also, if I need to retain the last acquired resource value for some reason, I can just copy it to a 'regular' label after being acquired. Thanks.

That's a fair point. There's actually a built in option in the release activity to let you store the released resource on a new label.
