Pull strategy setting in Combiner

Hi everyone,

I have an issue with combiner. In version FlexSim 23.0.3 and FlexSim 22.2.2 if I check the box Pull in input properties I can only change the Pull requirement condition and I can NOT change the Pull strategy, like is possible to see from the picture attached.

What could be the problem? Maybe is it a probelm of the latest versions?

Hello @ktaniki,

That is not something you can alter with the combiner object. Probably because the combiner pulls from all the ports based on the component list quantities. You can set a value to be 0 and the combiner wont pull from that port. Could you help me understand what you are trying to accomplish so I could help you create it?

okok understood thank you,

I have created an assembly line where the part to be assembled moves over several stations (processors) where the input / output logic between processor is governed by a list with pull and push logic.

Now I would like to turn these processors into combiners (for reasons of assimilating more to reality) but if I cannot use the Pull input strategy for combiners I would have to change all the simulation model.

I do not know if it is possible to use the pull requirement in the same way without using lists, but just using labels.

I appreciate it if you can give me some advice on how to proceed

Take a look at the parts combiner here - you don't need combiners
