Model Help

Hi,

I’m having issues with the attached model. The model was originally created three years ago, then updated this past year in version 7.3. We then tried to use the model in the newest version, but are experiencing issues with the model.

Here are a few things that are not working properly:

  1. Items are getting stuck in the queue “Q_PreBlendRoute”. Each of the following seems to resolve the issue and may help to debug, but it is not the solution:
    1. Uncheck “Use transport” for “Q_PreBlendRoute” -OR-
    2. Uncheck “Enable” in the 2ShiftSchedule timetable -OR-
    3. Uncheck “Enable” in the LunchAndBreaks timetable.
  2. I’m not sure the experimenter is recording results correctly. Pictured below, rep 2 shows line 12C2 as 24.9% utilized and 12C3 as only 34.5 % utilized. I opened up the rep 2 state file and looked at the same dashboard pie charts the experimenter is pulling from. The utilizations are 18% and 49.2% respectively.

We can discuss over the phone or with screen sharing for additional questions or background if that is easier. Please let me know what is causing these issues and how to resolve. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Is there a list of the depreciated commands and methods so I can check/update the model?

I am not sure if your pie chart issue is related to the state look in the Utilization Analysis. after you run the model, you can open the State Analysis Statistic window by a double click of the left mouse button inside the dashboard widget. Then you go to the tab Utilization Analysis and change all states marks to be green. A yellow mark clicked becomes green.

Thanks for your reply about the pie charts. I'll look into that. I'm more concerned about the first issue about flowitems getting stuck. I'm wondering if it has something to do with creating/modifying the model over multiple FlexSim versions. Thanks.

Your concern might be correct, because each new Version comes with a list of deprecated commands and methods. If your source code contains still some of those commands the model can behave strange or doesn't work at all.

Is there a list of the depreciated commands and methods (by version upgrade) so I can check/update the model?

@Brad Prizer I ran your model. Input and Output of Q_PreBlendRoute are both 631. The Queue is empty at the time stamp 12000. The model did not get stuck. Maybe you have to build your Dashboards again to get results. Flexsim Version 16.2.2.
