Decision point

Hi

I want to know how to send the same itemtype on two conveyors separatly and when the second conveyor is full the bottles continue on the main conveyor.

If you could send in a sample model or your model, it is much easier to see how the model is functioning rather than from a graphic alone.

To detect when a conveyor is full, one solution is to use a photo eye and define a block time.

In the attached model (2017-06-06-decision-point-photo-eye.fsm), a decision point on the main line is connected to a photo eye on the side line:

When a bottle arrives at the decision point (event On Arrival), I send the bottle to the photo eye if it is not blocked:

The second decision point works exactly the same way. I actually defined a type DPType1 which is assigned to both decision points.

If the photo eye is blocked (color code = red), then the bottles continue on the main line.
