FlexSim has the feature about connectivity to PLC using OPC DA, OPC UA, Modbus TCP/IPv4, v6 and RTU connection.

And FlexSim can also connect to Database like Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite and ODBC.

You can find it in the Toolbox>Connectivity option menu.

Like mentioned above, you can connect to PLCs or Databases using the listed connections.

WinCC is a SCADA software, which doesn't fall into the categories of emulation or database software. That said, your SCADA software is likely going to connect to PLCs using an OPC DA or other connection, which means you can connect FlexSim to whatever your SCADA software is connected to.

The "igs" that I think you're referring to is a 3D modeling (CAD) file. FlexSim can use igs files as 3D objects, but this is unrelated to OPC connections.

Lastly, KEPServerEX utilizes OPC connections to make data from PLCs available to other software.

Hopefully this helps and makes sense.
