I have multiple models made in the past (in best case Flexsim 7.0) that cannot be openend in Flexsim 2020 Update 1. I receive the warning as shown and the program keeps on loading without result.
What could be the cause of this problem?

Each updated version of FlexSim comes with a variety of changes that can affect the model in different ways. Instead of opening the FlexSim 7.0 model directly in FlexSim 20.1, you'll need to step through each iteration of FlexSim. In other words, open it in FlexSim 2016, then 2017, then 2018, etc. You might have to make small adjustments according to the release notes for each version along the way.
If your model isn't that large, I would even consider re-building it entirely in FlexSim 20.1.
