FlexSim models saved in a newer version cannot be opened in an older version of the software.
As new features are added to FlexSim, data structures and other background changes introduce incompatibilities with older versions of FlexSim that were not programmed to handle those changes.
I cannot find the download link for the FlexSim 20.1.1 version
Only the latest bugfix release of each feature branch is available for download from account.flexsim.com, and only from a licensed FlexSim Account.
Your requested version 20.1.1 is superseded by the latest 20.1 bugfix release, 20.1.3, which is available for download from a licensed FlexSim Account. Follow instructions here to see the "more versions" button and download the correct version of FlexSim.
Also, newer versions of FlexSim can open models built in an older version. Once saved in a newer version, however, the model files will have been updated for use only in that version of FlexSim, or later. This means that you can also open your 20.1 model in our latest release, 20.2, which is currently available for download even from guest accounts. The model will upgrade for use in the latest software version, and if saved for 20.2, the model file will no longer be compatible with 20.1. Be sure to save the upgraded model under a new filename if you need to keep it for compatibility with 20.1.
