After reviewing this related posting, I don't see how that method would work in my case. I'm trying to modeling another covid-19 vaccination process but this model is for a process involving vaccinations in automobiles. I am going to use patients provide some estimate of the major questions they have. Of course, The process will actually walked through on Tuesday and started started on Wednesday.
There are 10 lines for the automobiles in the model and I want the patients that go through waiting line 1 in screening to stay in waiting line one for the vaccination. If the waiting line 1 for vaccination 1 has 10 cars in it, I want any car in Line 1 for screening to stay there until it can go to the waiting line 1 for vaccination. As soon as a space becomes available in line 1 for vaccination, any car wafting at the station 1 for screening will go to waiting line 1 for vaccination
Is there anything you can suggest to replace the waiting Lines? I've also enclosed a layout of the parking lot selected for this process. So, somewhat similar, to the auditorium model you helped me with, the major question is are there enough spots for the Observation segment. The initial model we developed for the auditorium gave the planners great confidence that the system would work — and it did very well.
In retrospect, I should have explained this need in healthcare and asked you if FlexSim would be interested in developing a generic sort of model for this vaccination process which is being carried out all across the US. But unfortunately, I didn't think of it.
Thanks for all your help
