I am trying to set up a model regarding a small operation block in a hospital where there are three operating rooms and therefore three groups of operators working in each operating room. I would really appreciate it if you could give me a hint about how to create working shift for each operator and how to substitute each operator with another one while he/she is not working.

You can solve it using "TimeTable" feature and you can find it in 'Toolbox>TimeTable' option menu.
Thanks for the answer: I am already using the time table. Actually what I need to know is how to make another identical ward with which I could substitute the first ward while they are on a break.

If you are already following David Seo's suggestion then let me explain a little more how it will do what you are asking. You can have all 3 groups assigned to their corresponding resources in your process flow. They will not be acquired unless you have it in the time table for them to be available. Do you understand? If not please let me know.
