Different Scenarios for Time Tables Using Experimenter

Software Version 2022 Beta

Hi,

How can I change the staff number (for each staff group) per shift ( several time tables) and create different scenarios in Experimenter? Actually, I want to change the number of staff in each pre-defined shift by defining several scenarios.

Thanks!

Any help on this? Is there a way to define/specify the number of the staff resource groups in the parameter table by associating that to a shift/hour?

One way you can do this is to create a group for each shift and then use the parameter table to set the number of staff in that shift group. This would allow you to create a scenario in the experimenter like the following:

To do this, you create a group for each group in each shift, and then tell the parameter table to set the number in the people group to the entered parameter. Then, you can set up scenarios that use different numbers of your staff members for the shifts (or TimeTables) you've created. See the attached model for an example of what this looks like. Let me know if this helps.

@Emily Hardy Thanks a lot for the answer!

It's really helpful! First, why should I also create a shift staff group for members, where we use that group?

Second, if it is an hourly experiment, should we create all those time tables for each group? Is there a faster way to experiment when we have a lot of overlapping shifts?

You can disregard those groups; I tried setting it up that way first and forgot to delete them.

As for your second question; do you want to change the number of staff every single hour?

Okay. Yes, I can experiment with that automatically that would be helpful to validate my assumptions about shifts I've already created. In general, I want to know other than creating shifts and staff groups for each shift what is the faster way to do that? That would be helpful if we have many shifts.
