implications of not being able to change vertical acceleration of asrs

hi, a bit surprised to discover that there is not a good way to control the vertical acceleration of the asrs. since i know that, every time that i see a complex simulation of a warehouse system including a miniload made in flexsim, i downgrade it inmediately in my mind to "animation" because miniloads could have accelerations of 3.0 m/s2 but it seems that flexim asrs vertical acceleration is locked at 1.0 m/s2!

Iit looks like the lift/extend acceleration is instant rather than 1m/s². I believe the extension speed also affects the movement in bot the y direction (into the rack) and z (descending after a pick/place), so I wonder if the extension speed when descending has been used accidentally - I'll bring it up today to get a consensus. Update: the support team think the extension speed when returning is a bug which we'll report.

You could add the acceleration as a request/idea on this site or if you have the skills derive a new ASRS in the library.

ok, thanks for the answer. it is quite important on my field, which is automatic handling systems. we get many lifters and asrs machines and acceleration is a basic thing of the calculation. when we simulate a machine of this type is because it is already in the limit, and not able to establish acceleration / deceleration, invalids any possible result from flexsim. i will try to "derive a new ASRS in the library", but i did not get much experience in flexsim, i was surprised of not finding vertical acceleration in the properties of asrs directly (acceleration for the extension of the fork is not so critical because it is the same in all the slots and could be replace for an overall time), which on other hand it is a very nice model of the real equipment. thanks again.

Deriving a modifed asrs will currently require you to create a module and use the module sdk.
