Import .c4d files ?

I'm being asked if I can import .c4d files in my model. It's from Maxon's Cinema 4D.

It's not in the list of valid 3D object file types but I still tried and it didn't work.

But, being stubborn, I was wondering if anyone had found a way and/or had suggestions or ideas.

Thanks,

From Maxon's site:

Cinema 4D includes support for a host of industry-standard file formats. Because real-world 3D artists don't work in a vacuum, Cinema 4D features an array of import/export options for an extensive menu of popular file formats.

Listed at that site are many file types that Maxon Cinema 4D can export to, including many already supported by FlexSim. Of those listed at this time, the following Maxon-writable formats are already supported by FlexSim for importing into your simulation:

  • 3D Studio .3ds
  • Collada .dae
  • DXF
  • Direct 3D .x
  • STL (must be ASCII, not binary, for import into FlexSim)
  • Wavefront .obj
