Maximum conveyor content

Hello,

I would like to know how to limitate the number of items on a conveyor belt. If you take a look at the attached model, you'll see that I have a problem with two boxes overlapping at each conveyor entry point, once the loading is finished on each conveyor.

One possible solution is to use photo eyes. The only issue that arises is there is the opposite problem occurring now where it doesn't fill the last spot on the conveyor. This is due to the length of your conveyor and the carrying capacity of your transport items where it wants to place 2 every time but the conveyor only has room for one more. Here is an example using photo eyes on your first set of conveyors.12524-test.fsm

Thanks for you answer @Joshua S. The last spot not beeing filled is not an issue, I have enough room left on the other conveyors.

It seems to work only with an inter-arrival-time setting in the source. My original modell is working with a scheduled source though (75 cylinders combined onto 3 palets per day).

And when I try to do implement the photo eye solution in my origial modell, I got the same problem again of overlapping items. The photo eye seems to be ignored at some point. I didn't know that this would make a difference when I first uploaded my simplified modell...

Try changing the Block time to .001 on your main model. I set the source in the model you sent me to schedule source and it was failing like you said, but after changing the photo eye block tome to .001, it was working again.
