Forward Only on Two Way

When I create a two way path with "Forward Only", the agv goes backward if the original direction (before setting it to "two way") is backward.

In the attached example you see that the agv cannot reach the source, but if I switch direction to the two way path, it then can reach it.

Is it correct?

Is there a way to force the "forward only" correctly on a "two way" path?

You misunderstand what the "AGV Orientation" setting means.

From the user manual:

AGV Orientation

You can also force a single AGV orientation for a path. This defines how the AGV must face while on the path, irrespective of the AGV's travel direction.

When you select "Forward Only," that makes it so that the front of the AGV will always be facing the forward direction along that path. That means that when it is traveling in the opposite direction on the path, the AGV has to drive backwards so that its front is always facing forward along the path's direction.

"Forward Only" is relative to the path, not the agv.

What you want is 2 one-way paths that are each forward only and are pointing in opposite directions.

Ok, and is there a way to force the agv orientation somehow?

Maybe the only way is to split the two way path in two one way paths?

See also this example model that demonstrates it working how you want in both directions: 14732-fordwardonly-2.fsm

Great, thank you! This is what I was looking for. I'm creating automatically paths starting from a layout, now I create the two overlapping paths instead of just one. Thank you Phil!

Is this what you are looking for? I´ve only erased one connection and had to reconnect some of the paths...

No, what I want is that on the selected path the Lgv can go in both ways, but in any way it goes forward. Because on the model, when using "Fordward only", when going from right to left it has to go forward, but when going from left to right it has to go backward.

I have to simulate Lgvs that can never travel with the forks on front, but on "two way" paths this seems to be impossible.
