Monitoring Operator Work Time

In the sample model attached, I would like to monitor the operator's overall time utilized to walk, load, unload etc. to process one part in a production line. This is very critical for my use case because the FlexSIM operator time should match with my M.O.S.T time study (operator time study standard) to make sure I am analyzing with the calculated cycle time for the production line. If it doesn't match, I need to adjust distance between objects, operator movements etc. to match with the planned cycle time.

Please suggest a method to monitor this operator time. Thank you!

Sample model attached.

Best,

Sandeep

One thing you might try is a histogram chart instead of the State Pie Chart. The State Pie will show you percentages of time spent in activities. But if you want to know the actual time that operator went into a certain state and for how long, that's what a Histogram chart can show you. Is that what you're looking for?

@Sam Stubbs Thanks for your suggestion. Do we have a histogram template in Dashboard that could monitor this? I couldn't find one.

I apologize. I meant a Gantt Chart not a histogram chart. A gantt chart will show a running timeline of the model and when objects enter certain states.

Unfortunately I just learned that there's a slight error in the current Gantt chart, which we will fix in the next version of the software. We can fix it though.

Follow these steps:

First drag out a State Gantt Chart into your dashboard.

Double-click on it to bring up it's property windows,

IN the Objects window, use the sampler to select an Operator, or select the group of Operators you want to track.

Now go to the advanced tab. Click on the Install Button. And say yes to the prompt window.

Now go to your Process Flow button at the top, and select the newly generated Gantt Flow Chart.

In the Gantt Process Flow, click on the Wait for State Change activity. And change the property for Profile from "match" to "none"

Now it should be working.

@Sam Stubbs: Thank you for the suggestion. At least I have a way to monitor the operator time now.

As a feedback, I would prefer a simple statistical table option to monitor these times. Operators are very commonly used function for my company's use cases. Please consider introducing in FlexSIM. Thank you in advance for you support.
