Startup error

Hi,

I had a problem after startup FlexSim 2019. The program shut down right after starting up without any error message.

I don't know how to fix this problem.

Many thanks for your advice.

Hi @Thuan DH,

The first place to start is our article on installation and startup issues.

Graphics incompatibilities can also cause issues in FlexSim.

After trying the various suggestions listed in those two articles, comment back to let us know what solved your problem, or if you were able to find any further information post it back to help us troubleshoot the problem further.

Hi @Thuan DH,

Did any of those suggestions help you get FlexSim started? Here is something else you might try, depending on the problem.

Startup suggestion #6 Delete prefs.t describes where to find your prefs.t file. You can try replacing your prefs.t file with this attached version. It is set with FlexSim's default settings, except with the start page disabled. Sometimes a WebKit DLL issue causes FlexSim to crash on startup. The attached prefs.t file will start FlexSim without the start page, potentially side-stepping the startup issue.

WebKit is used in FlexSim for other interfaces, such as Dashboards, or the User Manual, so even if this prefs.t helps FlexSim start properly, because it does not solve the underlying incompatibility you may still have problems when using the software. Hopefully one of the suggestions from the installation problems article or the graphics problems article will really resolve the issue.
