How to change the automatic numbering system while pasting multiple objects?

Is it possible to change the automatic numbering system while copying and pasting multiple objects? For example: In my model I have 3 different types of objects(letters) with differing amounts.

A_1, A_2, A_3

B_1, B_2, B_3, B_4

C_1, C_2, C_3

Let's say I want to have a 4th copy of object A. I first copy any A object. I then paste the object into the model. Instead of getting A_4, I would get A_11 which is the number of objects in the model plus one. This use to be the case back in Flexsim HC but this is not the case as I use Flexsim 20(HC environment).

I have often wished for the same thing. I didn't know that HC worked that way in the past though. I always end up selecting the batch of similar objects and then changing the name for the objects in the quick properties. This allows you to number them however you would like. I do understand that it is an extra step though.

I just tried out your method and it works. It is still a lot faster than individualy changing the new objects. The more objects you add, the more efficient it gets. Thank you!
