model AGV stopped by people flow

agv-blocked-by-people.fsm

Hi, I would like to model AGV being stopped by people that walked passed. I tried to do it in node network, but it did not workout. Is there anyway? Can we do this in the AGV network?

Have you tried using a zone system? If you create a zone in which there can only be 1 object at a time, the people and the task executor should not overlap in that area.

There are several ways to create a zone in a model, including Decision Points, Photo Eyes, and Traffic Control.

Here is an example model that might give you an idea to work with. Let us know if you'd like more help with this question.

@Tanner P Thanks for the model.

But this does not apply the situation that I need, as the situation can apply to the whole factory or hospital which I cannot possibly place Traffic control at all possible locations in the whole model. I cannot set the maximum content of the traffic control as there could be crowds moving into the same area.

For the situation I need is that the AGV should stop when people walk pass and resume when there is no people around.

Thanks for looking into it.

@phil.bobo, thanks for referencing to the thread.

Can we apply the same concept to AGV that run in corridor of a hospital where people are also moving in the same place?

Thanks

Sure.

Also, in your original example that used only network nodes, you could use a Traffic Controller to prevent the collisions.

The example in AGV / Operator Collision Prevention shows how you can stop travelers on the agv network.

@phil.bobo I have attached a sample model. Will you please show me do I stop the AGV when people come close to the AGV say 1 m away. It will resume its activity when there is no people around.

Thanks

David
