Opening Model on specific time

Hello,

The capacity of my model is too large. Every time I want to check the error in the model, I have to wait for a long time. So I want to know can the model run to a specific time, then open the model at that time. For example, the error is after 86400 seconds. Can I open the model, and the time is be at 86400 seconds?

Thank you!

A model has to run and execute the events of the system to reach a specific time. The closest you will get to having a model open a desired time will be to set a stop time on the the model clock to the desired time (86400 seconds) and then run the model at maximum speed on the Run Speed slider control next to the clock. You may also consider closing any model views (process flow, 3D) to get a little more speed out of the model. Then you may debug any issues in the model and run the model slower or step through individual events to track down your error.

But since it takes time to execute model events even on maximum speed it may take a a few seconds to reach the desired time.

@Ingrid Hung If it's taking a long time to simulate a day then maybe it's either a huge model; is drawing slowly (as Regan mentioned); your PC is low on memory, or you're introducing more events than are necessary and a different technique is needed. If it is just a large model and with a specific subset of FlexSim's functionality, then saving a state may be possible but we'd need to see your model to try this first and it's pretty unlikely that the model will conform to the requirements. Better to address the speed issue in the model.
