@jing.chen

Just a thought, have you tried it in 17.1.4? Maybe it was a bug fix that they noticed.

Thank you Jeff! But I tried to use the latest version(2017.1.4), it also show the error message. >_<

Maybe some inappropriate settings in Excel? I'm not quite sure...

Does it work with FlexSim 17.0.7?

What versions of FlexSim 2016 does it work in? 16.0.9? 16.2.2?

What versions of Excel are installed on your computer?

What version of Windows are you using?

Does the path to the Excel workbook include Chinese characters?

Does it work on other computers? If so, what is the difference between the computers where it is working vs the ones where it isn't?

Have you tried reinstalling Excel like the solution to this similar question: Failed to initialize Excel Application?

Without more information, such as the answers to the questions above, we cannot begin to guess what might be causing that error message.

Is your problem similar to any of the following questions and solutions from Answers?

Many Thanks~ @phil.bobo

Below is what I do after reading your advice.

1. It works well in FlexSim 17.0.7

2. FlexSim2016.0.7 works well

3. Excel2016

4. No Chinese characte in the path to the Excel workbook

5. It works well in my computer and there are no clear differences between those two computers(including system or other related settings)

Firstly I tried to reinstall the Office like many answers' advice, but it still not work.

Finally I tried to install 2017.0.7, and it works.

I still wonder why it can not work in 2017.1.4

More advices will be appreciated!

The error code is actually an unsigned value, usually represented in hex. The error code is:

0x8002801D

TYPE_E_LIBNOTREGISTERED

This looks like somehow, the Excel registry keys are not present.
