Fail during upgrade to 21.1

I was able to download the upgrade to V21.1 but it failed to fully install. When I check my license I have 21.1 but when I load the software I only get 20.2.3.

How do I complete the install?

Hi @Marc H,

There are many reasons that your software could fail to install, from a full hard drive to inadequate user permissions, a corrupted installer to a missing required component.

Please check our article regarding installation and startup issues, which covers all these cases and more. If you try all those suggestions and still can't get the software installed, the final item there suggests Windows' Event Viewer to get lower-level system error information about what is going on.

Please let us know what helped in your circumstance, or comment back with information from Windows Event Viewer + additional information + screenshots, etc., to help us further diagnose the issue.

I was able to redownload the update and get it loaded BUT I am unable to use because it corrupts my Global Table that I load my cycle time data with. I tried this with several models and had the same result.

Hi @Marc H,

The dev team will want to know if there is a problem with the software upgrading older models.

If you could, please post a new question describing what happens on upgrade. Please attach one of your model files that exhibits the issue. If your model shouldn't be shared publicly, be sure as you're composing the new question to mark it as private.
